2021 Picture Perfect Pet Calendar contest

Your pet can be a celebrity! Enter your cat, dog, ferret, rabbit—any animal—(no humans please) in our Picture Perfect Pet Calendar Contest! 

It’s Fun and Easy and all proceeds go to help the homeless animals at the Central PA Humane Society.

· Every entry that raises at least $50 will appear as an honorable mention & receive a complimentary calendar

The Rainbow Bridge

If you have a pet that has passed away, you might like to honor him or her in our special “Rainbow Bridge” section of the calendar. You may submit a photo and a few words about your beloved pet, and for a minimum donation of $25, we will include the photo and write-up in that section. Buy-the-Date to Honor your Pet! 

Create a tribute to your pet.  Just choose your favorite photo and then choose the day for the calendar. First come, First serve! Once a date has been purchased, it will no longer be available. Each day is a $10 donation. Fundraising Option Remember, if you know of a business that would like to purchase an advertisement in the calendar, those donations will be added to your pet’s total! Call for information as to how to do that.

Advertising Prices:

Full Ad-- $325 ($300 for repeat advertisers) approximate dimensions: 1½” x 10”

Business Card Size--$150 ($125 for repeat advertisers) approximate dimensions: 1½” x 3¼ ” 

For an advertisement, submit a business card for the business or another layout that fits the dimensions above, along with a company check for the advertisement. Please include a contact name on the check memo line.

The Central Pennsylvania Humane Society’s Mission is to prevent animal neglect and cruelty through education and enforcement while providing a safe haven and finding forever homes for those in need. There are no time limits for animals in our shelter.  Animals remain available for adoption as long as they are physically and mentally healthy. The Central PA Humane Society does not euthanize adoptable pets. 

The designation of “no-kill” can be applied to any shelter that euthanizes less than 10 percent of their animals a year, for reasons of health and temperament. CPHS has met this designation and has provided a safe haven and forever homes to more than 95% of animals that enter our facility.  

Our adoption programs, our outreach to rescue groups, and our use of foster care have created a flow of animals in and out of our shelter that, more often than not, leaves us with space available.  CPHS won’t euthanize for illness that can be treated, behavior that can be modified, or for length of stay, providing there is quality of life for the pet.

Because definitions such as treatable and modified can vary with each case and we question the need for definitions or catch-phrases, we at CPHS choose to refer to our shelter and the work we do here as “Life Saving” rather than “No-Kill.”  

Just to be clear, the CPHS DOES NOT EUTHANIZE for illness that can be treated, for behavior that can be modified or for length of stay.
