The Right Place…

If you’re looking for a wonderful life-long companion, then you’ve come to the right place! CPHS has many animals of every shape and size to choose from.  During the animal’s stay, the shelter staff and volunteers provide many enriching activities, such as walks, outings, behavior training and socialization.

Our staff and volunteers are very knowledgeable about our animals and can help to direct you to appropriate matches. Each animal has something unique to offer, and adopters are sure to find the right animal for their home at CPHS.

Before You Adopt

Make sure everyone in your family understands the commitment of owning a pet. Additionally, if you rent, check with your landlord to ensure pets are allowed where you live. Everyone in your family will need to meet the new pet prior to finalizing the adoption.

Applying for Application

All potential adopters must complete an adoption application. Applications are available online and at the shelter’s front desk.  After completing an application please drop it off at the shelter or mail to:

Adoption Packages

Dogs

Unaltered Dogs: $170.00 ($80 Adoption Fee + $90 Spay/Neuter Fee).  Entire package includes:

  • One-year Rabies Vaccination
  • Parvo/Distemper/Bordatella Vaccination
  • Deworming
  • ID Tag
  • Adoption Fee
  • Spay/Neuter Fee for surgery performed with our veterinarian OR Spay/Neuter Deposit refundable upon proof of surgery by your veterinarian.  (For these services at an area veterinarian you could expect to pay at least $275.00.)

Spayed/Neutered Dogs: $80.00 (Adoption Fee)

For dogs already spayed or neutered (proof required), package includes all other items listed above for dogs.


Cats

Unaltered Cats: $120.00 ($30 Adoption Fee +  $90 Spay/Neuter Fee).  Entire package includes:

  • FELV/FIV Test
  • 1-year Rabies Vaccination
  • FVRCP Vaccination
  • Deworming
  • Adoption Fee
  • Spay/Neuter Fee for surgery performed with our veterinarian OR spay/neuter deposit refundable upon proof of surgery by your veterinarian.  (For these services at an area veterinarian you could expect to pay at least $225.00.)

Spayed/Neutered Cats: $30.00 (Adoption Fee)

For cats already spayed or neutered (proof required), package includes all other items listed above for cats.


Other

Rabbits: $10.00 to $30.00

Small Animals: $5.00 to $15.00 (exotic animals can be more expensive)

Please Note: As a rule we cannot hold animals for anyone. Please keep in mind that there is no such thing as the “Perfect Pet”. Any adopted animal will require training, patience and ample time to adjust to their new home.

While we carefully monitor animals surrendered to CPHS, we have limited knowledge of their backgrounds. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the health, behavior, age, gender or breed of any animal adopted from the shelter including any health care.
