Halloween “Pooch Parade,” Fine-Wine Auction Highlight 2013 Fur Ball 

On behalf of the Fur Ball committee, Staff and Board of the Central PA Humane Society, as well as ALL THE WONDERFUL ANIMALS, THANK YOU to all who attended the Fur Ball on Saturday! We appreciate you choosing the Fur Ball as a way to spend the evening and hope you had a delightful evening of elegant fun! 

We at the CPHS are proud to have Petco Foundation as the Title Sponsor for this year’s Fur Ball on Saturday, October 26th at the Blairmont Country Club in Hollidaysburg. Tickets are $75 and include dinner, drinks, entertainment, music, dancing and the chance to bid on fabulous items at our silent auction and fine-wine auction. Festivities start at 6:00 p.m. with the now-famous Pooch Parade at 6:45 p.m. on the patio! You won’t want to miss these adorable canines dressed for Halloween, trick or treating to win your heart!

Following on a highly successful launch in 2012, the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society will hold its second annual Fur Ball fundraiser on Saturday evening, October 26, 2013, at 6:00 PM at the Blairmont Club in Hollidaysburg. This evening of elegant fun will begin with the Pooch Parade with title sponsorship by Petco Foundation. Stuckey Ford and Subaru are also sponsors of the gala , featuring adoptable dogs from the shelter all dressed up for Halloween. Guests will enjoy a fabulous dinner, a full open bar including seasonal cocktails, great dance music provided by Steve “That DJ Guy” Willett, and an extensive silent auction of unique and beautiful items including pieces of art created just for this event by local artists. New to the Fur Ball this year will be an auction of fine wines, collected and offered by a group of area wine aficionados.

New to the Fur Ball this year will be an auction of fine wines, collected and offered by a group of area wine aficionados. Korotkin noted, “Steve Sheetz has generously donated a 1995 Chateau Mouton Rothschild, a first growth Bordeaux, as well as a 1999 Castello Banfi Brunello di Montalcino wine to auction.

Tickets also may be purchased via PayPal. Last year, the initial Fur Ball raised over $11,000 toward the CPHS mission of finding forever homes for the 5,000 animals who come into our care each year. The CPHS is a non-profit organization and receives no funds from government or from national humane organizations. We rely on our community for support.
